Been playing this cozy game called Spilled! where you captain a boat and clean up oil spills and save the local aquatic life. Play the demo here
Enjoy!

I recently migrated from Cinema 4D to Blender and stumbled upon the Lucky Collab. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to learn how to sculpt in Blender. After many (let's say a lot of) crappy concept faces that didn't quite work out, I finally landed on this character design!
I'm really surprised by how user-friendly Blender's sculpting tools are - kudos to the developers for this fantastic feature. They've made huge strides, and I'm excited to make Blender my primary 3D tool.
Here's some of my work in progress!

It helps a lot learning some basic 3D modeling tools like Spline or Cinema 4D to help create pixel art from multiple angles. About time I use this for a project

This sub-update has the following changes:
There are a few more changes to the original design:
Look out for the next sub-date for things that don't kill you in the deep. 😵

Completed a series of upgrades for the sub. This gif shows the following:
The Magnet buff attracts objects to your deep-sub, making it easier to collect resources. The more you upgrade it, the larger the area of effect and the faster it attracts objects. However, it also attracts unwanted junk, so you'll need to be careful not to fill up your inventory.
The Propeller buff increases your deep-sub's speed and agility. The more you upgrade it, the faster you'll be able to travel and the more maneuverable you'll be. However, it also drains your power source more quickly, so you'll need to be mindful of your energy levels.
The View Port buff increases your field of view, giving you a better vantage point of the surrounding area. The more you upgrade it, the wider your field of view will be. However, it also reduces the integrity of your hull, making your deep-sub more vulnerable to damage.
These are just a few of the upgrades available for your deep-sub. I'm still working on the rock-paper-scissors effect of each of these upgrades, so finding the right balance and build could be the fun part of playing a game like this.

I've been chipping away at a deep-sub model in C4D. It is equipped with a screw top that can be opened from both the inside and outside, making it easy to access the interior. It also has a propulsion motor at the back to thrust it forward, but I'm still working on adding smaller motors for vertical dexterity. To top it all off, the sub is fitted with two harpoon launchers that can be used to drag things towards it.
There are some additional details that I may add in the next pass

Some work in progress on the newgrounds tank.
For this exercise I referred an older tank I had made using cinema 4d and rebuilt it from scratch in Sketch.design.
